July 5, 1952 – July 12, 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gertrude Frances Eastman announces her sudden passing after a courageous battle with cancer at the James Paton memorial Health Care Centre on Wednesday July 12, 2017 at the age of 65 years. She was predeceased by her patents Mary Anne and Douglas Blake, sisters: Dorothy Hodder, Elsie Hodder; brother Harry Blake; grandson Grayson and sister-in-law June. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of almost 37 years Eugene; daughter Any (Tony), son Brad (Kayla), daughter Kim (Chris); grandchildren Malea, Nolan, Kyle, Kristin; great grandchild Jade; sisters: Janet (Sandy), Betty (Ralph), Margaret (Gordon), Bernice (Dave), Lillian (Woodrow); brothers: Calvin (Barb), Harold; sister-in-law Joyce and a large circle of other relatives and friends. A private family visitation will be held at Stacey’s Funeral Home, followed by Gertrude’s wishes cremation will take place. Funeral service will take place from the Riverside United Church, George’s point on Saturday July 15, 2017 at 2 p.m. with interment to take place at a later date.
