STUBBINS: Mrs. Gerry Stubbins of The Meadows in Swift Current, SK passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the age of 80. She was born in Moose Jaw, SK on August 11, 1936. She attended Red Lake School, St. Mary’s Middle School, and then high school at the Covenant of Zion. After she married Jim Stubbins, they moved to various community’s including Chaplin, Truax, and Elrose before settling in Hodgeville on the farm in 1975, where Gerry was a homemaker. She moved to Swift Current in 1987 where she lived until 2012 before retiring in The Herbert Heritage Manor. Gerry enjoyed bowling, barrel racing, and bingo in her spare time with family and friends. Gerry is predeceased by her parents Edward and Annie Foley. She is survived by her daughter Lana Behm; son Mark (Tanya) Stubbins; and grandchildren Kade, Kyra, Konnor, and Karson. The Funeral Mass was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from Christ the Redeemer Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Reymundo Asis officiating. The pallbearers were Kade Behm, Konnor Stubbins, Karson Stubbins, Doug Wagner, Sid Huntley and Phill Huntley. The Interment Service was held from Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current.
