Obituary of Gerard Delaney
Passed peacefully away at Dr. A. A. Wilkinson Memorial Hospital, Old Perlican on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, Gerard Delaney of Gull Island, age 67 years. Predeceased by father: Lewis Chaulk; mother: Mary R. Doyle; brothers: Brendan and David. Leaving to mourn, wife: Mary; one daughter: Cynthia Gardwine, Winnipeg, MB; one son: Ronald (Crystal), Burnt Point; seven grandchildren: Shane, John, Jermaine, Travis, Dani, Alisha, and Tyler; three brothers: Danny (Donna) Doyle, Broad Cove, Luke Doyle (Dale), Hant’s Harbour, and Edwin (Wanda) Doyle, Gull Island; one sister: Josephine (Lloyd) Lush, Yellowknife, NWT; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Thursday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, December 9 at 11:00 a.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Interment in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Northern Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Gerard Delaney Memorial Fund c/o Noel’s Funeral Home, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
