Hunt; Gerard Joseph – We are heart broken to announce the passing of Gerard Joseph Hunt, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 25, 2017, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee McFarland) of 63 years. Loving father of Duane (Sheila) of Napanee; Doug (Donna) of Napanee; Darlene (Terry) Brady of Kingston. Cherished Poppy of Amy (Anthony) Tompkins, Lindsay (Jeff) Cuthill, Tyler, Travis and Miranda Hunt, Ryan (Heidi) Brady and Todd (Bridgette) Brady. Adored great grandfather of Haley, Hillary, Lilly, Laine, Naomi, Beckett, Chloe and Naomi.
Very dear brother of Benedict (Sheila) of London, Rita Evans (late Ed) of Moscow, Noreen Kehoe (late Fred) of Belleville, Marie Hoover (late Dave) of Kingston, late Eileen McKenny (late Vince), late Tony (Teddyanne of Erinsville), Ann Brown (Eric) of Picton, George (Sharon) of Peterborough, late Francis (Beverley) of Newburgh, Helen Urie (late Bill) of Kingston, Dan (Lynn) of Belleville, late Karen Hunt, late Kevin, and Teresa Griffin (Tony) of Kingston. Remembered fondly by his many nieces and nephews. Godparent of Rhonda MacDonald, Rick Pero and Rose Reynolds. Predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Nora Hunt. Bio-Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home – Napanee Chapel on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Napanee on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Friends desiring may contribute to The Heart and Stoke Foundation or The Cancer Society in Gerard’s Memory.
