Obituary for Gerald Sigouin
SIGOUIN, Gerald
Peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Thursday November 23, 2017 with his family at his side in his 88th year. He was born in Syracuse N.Y. Beloved husband of Phyllis (Eggens) for 65 years. Loved father of Gerald (Lorna) of Ingleside, Terry (Donna) of Calgary and Cindy Lancia (Claudio) of Brockville.Dear brother of Pierre Martin of Cornwall. Sadly missed by 7 grandchildren Gavin (Megan), Phillip, Kyle, Zach, Shannon, Vincent, Madison and 2 great grandchildren Cassandra and Cossette. Predeceased by his parents Elie and Theresa (Martin) Sigouin; two daughters Judy and Mary Anne; one brother Raymond (Cathy of Brockville) and one sister Madeline Toth. Gerald joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1952. He was posted numerous places in Cuba and Boston. He and his family eventually settled in Ingleside and farmed for many years. Member of the Marine Corps in Hogansburg N.Y. For the past 5 years he resided with his wife in Finch. Visitation will be held at the Brownlee Funeral Home 18 Front Street Finch on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. [A SERVICE IN CELEBRATION OF GERALD’S LIFE WILL BE HELD IN THE CHAPEL OF THE FUNERAL HOME ON THURSDAY NOVEMBER 30, 2017 AT 11AM.]. Interment will take place at Pleasant Valley Cemetery following the lunch at the Finch Legion. In lieu of flowers. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
