McCarthy, Gerald (Gerry) 1932-2017 – It is with great sadness that the family announces their father’s passing at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday December 26th , 2017 in his 86th year.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Yvonne (nee Dufaure) 2013 and by his daughter Cindy.
Dearly loved father of Ricky (Lynn) of Sidney BC, Peggy (Lee) of Callander & Rodney (Diana) also of Callander. Poppa will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Matthew (Kara), Jenny (Andy), Trevor, Kyle (Stacey), Bryan, Taylor, Jaidan, Spencer and great grandchildren Alexa, Ava, Charlie and Jude. Also survived by his siblings Ray (Lynn), Robert (Dee), Anne Mathieu (Wilfred), Michael (Lauraine), Peter (Ellen).
Also predeceased by his parents Philippe and Angeline (nee Doucette).
He will be dearly loved and remembered by many nieces and nephews. Gerry owned and operated several businesses in North Bay along with Gerry’s Heating with his family until his retirement in 1994.
Family and friends may pay their respects at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd, on Tuesday January 2nd from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 299 Airport Rd, on Wednesday January 3rd at 10:30 am, with a luncheon to follow in the parish hall. Cremation to follow with interment at All Saints Mausoleum.
