Obituary Overview
Gerald (Jerry) Allan Bush
Gerald (Jerry) Allan Bush, passed away in his sleep on November 14, 2017, a month shy of his 88th birthday. Born and raised on River Valley Road (aka Pig Street) just south of Stirling, Jerry was the definition of a hard-working farmer. If he wasn’t in the barn or in the field on one of his beloved Masseys, he was out driving one of his many “boats” as his sons called them. “When you spend all day bouncing around the fields on a tractor, a nice riding car is what you want to drive,” he always said. A Grand Marquis/Crown Victoria was Jerry’s car of choice, which probably had something to do with his time spent behind the parts counter at local Ford dealerships when things were lean on the farm. Friends and family remember Jerry as a guy who liked to kid around. If Jerry gave you a hard time, it always meant he was fond of you. Predeceased by parents Ross and Ada Bush and siblings Keitha (Carman) Richards and Harold (Norma) Bush, Jerry leaves his wife Wilma of Marmora, sons Terry (Mare) of Cooper, Rod (Lori) of St. Catharines, Jeff (Kelli) of Summerstown and Brad (Gwen) of Stirling and the mother of his children, Mazie of Stirling. Loved by grandchildren Patrick, Erica, Greg, Andrew, Alaina, Janelle, Cameron and Jazlyn. Fondly remembered by step-children Cheryl, Brian and Carl and predeceased by step-daughter Julia. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Jerry’s life at a luncheon from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, November 25 at St. Paul’s United Church in Stirling.
