It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Gerald Raymond Stephenson announces his peaceful passing on Friday, December 1, 2017, at the age of 81.
Gerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Gwen (nee Snowden). Forever missed by his children, Jay (Vanessa) of Perth, Australia and Kerrie (Cameron) of Kamloops, BC. Grandpa/Pops will everlastingly be adored and loved by his seven grandchildren, all of whom he truly treasured; Brayden, Alexander, Tessa, Laura, Scott, Samantha and Harrison.
Gerry will also be greatly missed by his siblings, Audrey (George) Bucknell, Herb (Gladys) Stephenson, Wayne (Betty) Bannister, Donna (Warren) Nelson, Jackie (Sandra) Bannister, Rick (Mary) Bannister, Ron (Betty) Bannister, and Terri Stephenson as well as brother in-laws Bob (Marj) Snowden, Eric (Fran) Snowden and Harry (Evanne) Snowden, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family.
Gerry was predeceased by his daughter Shelley, parents Raymond and Eva, brother, Sydney, sisters, Marj and Ethel, step-father Jack, brothers Lloyd and Garry and niece Sheri.
A Celebration of Gerry’s life will be held on Sunday, December 10th, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. at the Connelly-McKinley Edmonton South Chapel, 4820 Meridian Street, Edmonton, with Rev. Bruce Ehlert officiating.
Maintaining Gerry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. He will be held lovingly in his family’s arms until resting with his precious Shelley.
Those who so desire may make memorial donations in Gerry’s memory to the organization of your choice.
