The death occurred, with his loving family at his side, at
Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Monday, December 18, 2017 of
Gerald Augustine Hackett of Tignish Seniors Co-op Home, formerly of
Norway, aged 87, husband of the late Geraldine (McHugh). Born in Sea
Cow Pond on March 20, 1930, son of the late Edward and Mary Fidelis
((Doucette) Hackett.
Cherished father to Gerry (Barbara), Sea Cow Pond and Mary
Lee (Marc) Doucette, Tignish. Loving Gramps to Damian, Alex and Kent
(Amanda).
Brother to Helen Gavin, Tignish Seniors Co-op Home and
Raymond (Enid), Sea Cow Pond . Brother in law to Alred (Sylvia)
McHugh, Scarborough; Wilma (Clarence) Griffin, Brockton; Margaret
McHugh, Phillips Residence; Alma Hacket, Tignish Seniors Co-op Home
and Milda Perry-Arsenault, Summerside.
Gerald was predeceased by his parents, wife Geraldine
(January 21, 2007) , sisters and brothers Mary, Marvin, Rita,
Clifford, Marcus, Dorothy, Viola and brothers in law Kenneth and Ray
McHugh and Atwood and Edward Gavin.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel,
O’Leary with visiting hours on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8
p.m. Funeral Mass held at St Simon and St Jude Roman Catholic Church,
Tignish Friday at 10:30 am. Interment later in the Parish
Cemetery.

Fund or Kidney Foundation of PEI would be appreciated.
