George William Magee
George William Magee passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 in Prince Albert, SK. He was born in Prince Albert on Saturday, August 8, 1936 and resided there all his life. George was the image of a true truck driver, his career spanning 65 years. Most of the miles he drove were spent on northern roads and ice roads. His last 33 years were spent hauling products to northern miners for Trimac and NRT. He was proud to be one of the seven original drivers to blaze the trail to the north. George was hard working, dedicated, kind and always there to help others, never afraid to stop and help – no one was a stranger. George will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marlene; his daughters Debbie (Carl) Kunz, Judy (Roger) Picot; his son Ron (Lori) Magee; his brother Charlie Magee; his sisters-in-law Joan and Darlene (Gordon); his brother-in-law John (Carol); his nine grandchildren and his two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father and mother Robert and Bernice Magee; his brother Jack and his sister-in-law Irma. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 6, 2017 at River Park Memorial Chapel with Reverend Andrew Hoskin officiating. Interment to take place in Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Funeral Home in Prince Albert, SK, 306 764-2727, Don Moriarty, Funeral Director.
