It is with great sadness that the family of the late
George Wesley Heath announce his passing on Sunday, January 15, 2017
at the Health Science Centre in St. John’s at the age of 78
years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 54
years Marjorie (nee Pike); children: Darlene (Bruce) Burton, Sherwood,
Alberta, George Jr. (Debra) Heath, Belleville, Ontario and Charmaine
(Pierre) Jesso, Edmonton, Alberta; grandchildren: Amanda (Cody)
Wheeler, David Burton (Caiti Remus), Cassandra Burton, Jessica Jesso
and R.J. Jesso; sister Bertha (Eldon) Hussey; brothers and
sisters-in-law: Randall (Donna) Pike, Douglas (Marilyn) Pike, Flora
(Paul) Daigle, Cyril Pike, Sidney (Leca) Pike, Howard (Loretta) Pike,
Reuben Jr. Pike, Douglas (Carol) Pike and Maxwell Kean; special niece
Doreen (Gary) Pardy; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Sophie
and Silas Heath, brothers Charles and Thomas, sisters Elsie, Rita and
Mary “Toots.” Cremation has taken place. Friends may
visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue
on Thursday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral
service will be held on Friday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m. from the
Salvation Army Citadel, Clarence Street with Majors Ed and Luanne
Barrow officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made
to the Salvation Army Corner Brook Citadel or to a charity of
one’s choice. The family guest book may be signed by
