SPIETAELS, George Patrick – suddenly at his home on Saturday, December 23rd, 2017 in his 78th year. Cherished husband of 57+ years to Bessie Spietaels (nee Mayo) of LaSalette. Loving father of Donna Spietaels (Dan MacDonald) of LaSalette and Debbie Pike (Kirk) of Simcoe. Dearly loved grandfather & great grandfather of Larissa Cox & Megan Cox (Roger Funstin), children Riley & Holden. George will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Josie Gilbert (Ken Young) of Simcoe, Archie Spietaels of Ingersoll, Robert Spietaels (Wendy) & Maurice Spietaels, both of Long Point. George will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family. Friends are invited to share their memories of George with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, December 27th, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. George’s funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Mullin officiating. Private interment of ashes at a later date. Those wishing to donate in memory of George are asked to consider Purrfect Companions Cat Rescue & Adoption or the MS Society.
