1932-2017
The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital
Summerside on Sunday January 1, 2017 of George S. Best of
Kensington aged 84 years. Born in Bedeque on December 25, 1932 son of
the late Lloyd and Bernice (Affleck) Best. Husband of Ruth
(Mabee) Best. Father of Sharon (Joe) Griffin, Debbie (George) Walsh,
Anna McNaughton (Mike Dudra), Donna Best, Kevin Best (Melissa), Lorna
Fraser (Roger Whidden), Kimberley (Tony) Boyle and Lloyd Best.
Grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Brother of
Doris (Lowell) Reeves. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by great-grandson Weston Esterbrooks and brother Ray and
his wife Joyce Best.
George served with the Royal Canadian Air Force for ten
years, then worked at Cavendish Farms for a number
years.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home
Kensington where a private family visitation and funeral service will
be held on Thursday. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens,
Pleasant Valley. If so desired contributions may be made to the
Diabetes Association.
