George Raymond Crandlemere
1929-2017
George R. Crandlemere of Dead Creek, NB passed away March 28, 2017 at
the Upper River Valley Hospital. George was born at Carvell, Carleton
Co., NB in 1929, a son of the late William and Alice (Rogers)
Crandlemere.
George was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church. His
extensive working career encompassed many woods related jobs including
working at Charles Price Lumber Co. for 29 years. George enjoyed
hunting, fishing and woodlot management. His family was very
important to him.
He is survived by his wife, Norma (Derrick) Crandlemere; two sons,
Claude Crandlemere (Ellen), North Lake, NB and Steve Crandlemere
(Debbie), Canterbury, NB; four daughters, Bonnie Crandlemere, Rhoda
Miles (Brian), Kim Price (Rino), all of Fredericton, NB and Cindy
Lupton (Ken), Osceola Mills, PA; ten grandchildren, Tara Marshall,
Amanda Farrell (Corey), Natalie Peace (David), Zane Crandlemere
(Neva), Crystal Watson (Mike), Clay English (Angela), Eric English
(Lise), Brandon Howland, Zach Price and Kelsie Price; fourteen great
grandchildren, Caleb Marshall, Jake Farrell, Jorja Farrell, Landon
Peace, Ainsley Peace, Reid Peace, Garrett Crandlemere, Autumn
Crandlemere, Isla Crandlemere, Brayden Watson, Colton Watson, Lara
Watson, Makayla English and Gracie Reese; two sisters-in-law, Gail
Feero (Brian), Nackawic, NB and Glenna Derrick, Canterbury, NB;
several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Ruth
Lozier, a brother, Alexander Crandlemere and a great granddaughter,
Anna.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB on Friday from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be
held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 2 pm from the funeral home chapel
with Bishop George Lemmon officiating. A reception will follow at the
funeral home. Interment will be later at Upper Skiff Lake
Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, Zane Crandlemere, Amanda
Farrell, Clay English, Eric English, Kelsie Price and a friend, Greg
Dickinson.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of George, the family
has suggested the St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Benton, St.
Paul’s Anglican Church in Kirkland, Holy Trinity Anglican Church
in Canterbury or Upper Skiff Lake Cemetery.
