Deeply loved husband, father, and grandfather George Perry, of Dartmouth, passed away early Jan. 12, 2017 in Halifax.
Born in 1942, in Dieppe, NB, George was the son of George Sr. and Verna Perry. As an athlete, George excelled at baseball. He threw a mean fastball, and as captain led many teams to victory. His high school yearbook notes his good nature made him a friend to all who knew him. This remained true throughout his life. As a regional grocery salesman for companies including York Farms, Canada Packers, and Maple Leaf, he continued to make many friends throughout Atlantic Canada. A man of few words, those he loved and befriended put unwavering faith in his actions and resolute support.
George is survived by Paulette, his devoted wife of 46 years; loving daughter Michelle (Ryan Sadler) and sons Brent (Willena) and Scott (Julie); his beloved granddaughter Laura; and his sister Sharon (Ross Burnett) and children. He will be profoundly and forever missed.
No visitation or funeral services will be held at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Condolences and memories are welcome at www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com, Dartmouth Chapel.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de George Patrick Perry
