George Ivan Gracey passed away peacefully at George Derby Veterans Hospital on May 31, 2017.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 71 years Doris, sons Gerry (Gail), Garry (Yaping), Keith (Helen), sister Marion Shaw, grandchildren Wendy (David), Janice, April, Crystal (Sean), Jason, Davis, Ellee, and great-grandchildren Sydney, Dylan, Sadie, Keadan, Makaylah, TJ, Leaham and Preston.
George will be deeply missed by his family. He is a decorated war veteran from WWII and he celebrated a long and distinguished career of 35 years as a Traffic Patrol Enforcement Officer for the City of New Westminster.
He leaves behind a legacy of incredible love and commitment to his family. His sense of humor, his talent for gardening and his love for music will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of choice.
