Obituary of Genevieve Henry
Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at the Trillium Court Retirement Home in Kincardine, on Saturday evening, September 30th, 2017. Genevieve Elizabeth Henry (nee Watson), of Owen Sound, at the age of 97 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Melville Henry (2005). Loving mother of Ken Henry and his wife, Joan, of Owen Sound, Donna Archambault and her husband, Roger, of Goderich, Tom Henry and his wife, Ann, of Ajax and Leisa Henry and her husband, Stewart Benefer, of Queensland, Australia. Proud grandmother of Dennis (Kelly), Brian (Kirsi), Jay (Kerry), Glen (Karen), David (Sarah), Rachel, Stephanie and great-grandmother of Mikko, Raili, Emily, Meghan, James, Jack, Abby, Jamie, Simon and Toby. Dear sister of Margaret Hansler, of Owen Sound. Gen will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, William and Mary Watson; her son, Carl Dennis Henry; her brothers, Clarence Watson (Ann), Carl Watson (Isabel), Rodger Watson; her brother-in-law, Cliff Hansler.

WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial for Gen Henry will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 554 – 15th Street East, Owen Sound, on Thursday, October 5th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Wojciech Kuzma officiating. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A Vigil will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Mary’s Church as an expression of sympathy.
