1918-2017
My valiant mother, Genevieve passed away peacefully in her
99th year at Rocmaura Nursing Home, Thursday
October 5th. Gen was born in
Bloomfield the eldest daughter in a family of 12 of the late Francis
and Agnes (Adair) Hodgin. Genevieve was a kind and intelligent person
who lived a quiet and contented life, devout in her faith and centered
in family.
Gen was predeceased by her loving husband Patrick Anglin;
cherished sons Michael and Sean, son-in-law Deno Pappas QC; brothers
Murray, Harold, Bernard and Kenneth and sisters Marion Donnelly,
Pauline Mercer, Mildred Cormier and Madeline Mercer.
Surviving is her daughter Patricia Anglin of Saint John;
sisters Muriel Richard (Alair) of Saint John, Barbara Sands of Hampton
and Carol Gilchrist of Norton; as well as many nieces and
nephews.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the care and
loving attention paid to Genevieve from the staff at Hopewell Court,
who made Gen a comfortable home during the past 10 years and her final
days in the Palliative Care Unit Terrace Court,
Rocmaura.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
Tuesday, October 10th at 11:00 am at St. Pius X
Church, 316 Somerset Street, Saint John with Msgr. Henneberry as
celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s
Cemetery. Following interment a small reception will be held
at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111

In Genevieve’s memory, memorials may be made to
