Obituary of Garth Kenneally
Garth Eldon Royce Kenneally, 80 of Harbourville passed away on December 13, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Harbourville, he was the son of the late Harold and Bessie (Schnare) Kenneally.
Garth was known in the Harbourville area as “The Mayor” and was a semi-retired fisherman. He loved being a foster parent, and in the 21 years of fostering, he was a large part to over 50 childrens lives. Garth lived a full life and was well known over the Valley area playing his guitar at many variety shows and benefits with his wife. He also played darts on the Valley League. And one of his most favorite passtimes was hunting, which he most thoroughly enjoyed.
Garth is survived by his loving wife and best friend Judith “Judy” (Wagstaff) Kenneally; sons Kevin (Darlene) of Harbourville; LeRoy (Karen) of Harbourville; Dana (Angela) of Burlington; Garnie of Harbourville; Shawn of Harbourville; daughter Kelly (Brent) Nelson of Riverside-Albert, NB; foster son Larry Johnstone; sister Geraldine Wood of Ontario; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters.
There will be no Visitation or Funeral Service by request. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the to the Canadian Cancer Society or the IWK Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (902-679-2822).
