Death Notice
“One day at a time sweet Jesus”
Peacefully with her daughter and family by her side at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at the age of 75. Gail endured courageously to the end to overcome her illness. Loving and cherished mother of her only child Sue and her husband Ken Macklin. Dear sister of Marlene Cammidge, Shirley (Frank) Peters, Diana (Gary) Burdett, Sharon (Jerry) McAlpine, June Malott, Goldie (Luann) Thomas, and Philip (Shema) Thomas, and sister-in-law of Nancy Thomas. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Predeceased by her parents David and Fern Thomas of Point Edward; brothers Roy (Adele) Thomas, Donnie Thomas, and Carmen Thomas; and brother-in-law Larry Malott. Gail loved family and friends, laughter, having fun and spending time with her cat Sparky. She also enjoyed music, dancing, reading and crossword puzzles. Special thank you to our family and friends for their love and support. Also to Dr. Crombeen, Dr. Yoshida, Dr. Dostaler, Dr. Muhunthan and all the caring doctors, nurses and support personnel who cared for mom over the last several years. A private family service has taken place. A tree will be planted in her memory. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Gail Marie Thomas – Monday, 22 June 1942 –
