Passed away at Alexander Muir Retirement Residence on Friday, April 7, 2017 in his 88th year. Loving husband of the late June. Loving father of Susan (Don), John (Rennie), and Laurie (Rick). Dear grandfather of Melinda (Steve), Martin (Michelle), Michael (Andrea), Thomas, Katherine (Nathan), Amy (Dave), Andrew, Charlotte, Jennifer, and Ricky (Traci). Great grandfather of Emily, Danielle, Elizabeth-June, Jocelyn, George, and Marek. Fred worked for more than 40 years at Maclean-Hunter in Willowdale. He was also a long time member of the Canadian Progress Club of York Region, and he was an avid Scout leader in Richmond Hill, as well as an outdoorsman. Friends and family may call at MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME (10366 Yonge Street), Richmond Hill on Sunday, April 23, from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday April 24th at 11:30 am. Interment at Highland Memory Gardens (33 Memory Gardens Lane), Willowdale. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
