Fred lived a full life in 84 years. He was born in Waterloo County and lived in Waterloo until his retirement in 1996. He was with Wm. Knell & Co. for 43 years. He then moved to his cottage permanently at Point Clark on Lake Huron. He loved the outdoors, fishing, always feeding the wildlife around his property, took pleasure in his beautiful flower gardens and the glorious sunsets. There he made many new and lasting friendships from Goderich to Kincardine. Always willing to help family, friends and neighbours in any way he could. Fred had a special love for cars and tools, enjoyed shopping, entertaining and was an excellent cook, specializing in his famous Caesar Salad. He always had a good story and joke for anyone visiting. He was a man of many talents and will be missed by all who knew him.
Thanks to the staff at Columbia Forest for the care and compassion given to Fred during his stay. A special thank you to Joe Britto with Aurora Home Care for his many outdoor excursions and companionship. Also, thank you to Christian Fleisig, Fred’s cribbage volunteer. All your kindness was very much appreciated by the family.
