Obituary of Freda Shields
SHIELDS, Freda F. – passed away peacefully at Marianhill, Pembroke on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the age of 97 years.
Freda Shields (nee Boyd) of Pembroke, wife of the late Bradley Shields. Dear mother of Elaine Maves (late Daniel), Deep River; Barrie Shields (Greta), Renfrew; Elwood Shields (Sonja), Lively; Elvira Masson, Beachburg; Donnalda Tubman (Clifford), Carleton Place; Armelda Maves (late Arthur), Pembroke; Catherine Shields, Golden Lake; Colleen Edwards (Larry), Pembroke; Boyd Shields, Pembroke; and Mervin Shields, Pembroke. Grandmother of 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren & 6 great-great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Henry & Minnie Boyd (nee Gordon). Predeceased by brother Stanley Boyd; and by sisters Viola Price, Delta Davidson & Ruby Boyd. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Pembroke Pentecostal Tabernacle on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Beachburg Union Cemetery.
