Floyd S. Ritchie
1934-2017
The death of Floyd Sterling Ritchie of Bath occurred on Tuesday,
January 17, 2017 at his home. Born July 7, 1934 in Temple, York
County, NB he was the son of the late Lester and Gladys (Cummings)
Ritchie. He was also predeceased by his 2 brothers, Olin Ritchie
(Eileen) and Charles Ritchie; 1 sister, Marjorie Thornton (Paul).
Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Irene; 2 sons, Peter
Ritchie and Eric Ritchie (Lorelei); 3 grandchildren, Cole, Drew and
Kate Ritchie; 1 sister, Eileen Carpenter (Sterling); 1 brother,
Maurice Ritchie (Barbara); 2 sisters in law, Helen Ritchie and
Geraldine Grieve as well as nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from
4-8 pm. A Masonic Tribute Service will be held at 6:45 pm. A funeral
service will be held on Friday, January 20., 2017 at 1:00 pm from the
L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Pembroke
Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to the
Shriner’s Hospital for Children or the Upper River Valley Cancer
Support Group would be appreciated.
