Cormier, Florence (Maillet) –
Our family’s world has tilted once again – with the unexpected passing on July 17, 2017 of Florence (Flo) at the age of 87. Cherished mother of Joanna (Angelo), Shirley (Larry), the late Joyce (2011) and Dianne (Jeff). Predeceased by our beloved Dad Albeny (Al 2007) son in law Joseph (Joe 1992) and siblings Yvon, Alonzo and recently Helen (2017). Missed dearly by granddaughter Laurel and grandson Steven and son-in-law Steve. Mom is survived by her three sisters Marie, Annette and Bernice. She is embraced by all of Dad’s family, Auntie Flo to so very many and devoted friend to John and Ankie (Mom’s Dutch sister). Mom will be remembered by all her very caring morning coffee friends. We girls hope to have inherited Mom’s legacy of love, courage and strength to take forward into our own lives. She deeply loved all of us ~ each and everyone.
Her family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.
We as a family feel blessed for the exceptional care and warmth during Mom’s last hours at Hospice Wellington. In lieu of flowers, any donations would be most welcome to this wonderful safe haven at journey’s end.
