The death of Faye (Boyd)
Daye of Quispamsis, NB, widow of Eugene Daye, occurred Friday, August
18th, 2017, peacefully at her home following a brief illness. Born in
Chipman, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Ethel (Upton)
Boyd.
Faye member of the Ladies Quispamsis
Island View Lions Club. Faye and her husband were instrumental in
introducing clogging to New Brunswick, where they taught it for many
years.
Faye is
survived by two daughters, Linda Denton (Charlie) of Quispamsis and
Joann Tyrie (Scott) of Yellowknife, NT; two sons, David Daye (Debbie
Doucette) of Saint John and Stephen Daye of Saint John;
daughter-in-law, Linda Daye of Rothesay; one sister, Joan Darrah of
Saint John; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, several
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Sandra in
infancy, son, Neil in 2006 and granddaughter, Kathryn Daye, 2017.
Faye’s family would like
to give a special thank you to Diane Dobbin for her compassionate
care.
Arrangements are entrusted to
Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road,
Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Monday from 2-4 and
6-8 PM. A memorial service will be held from Quispamsis United Church
on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2017, at 11:00 AM. A reception will be held
immediately following the service in the church hall. Interment will
take place in Chipman United Baptist Cemetery, at 3:00pm.
