HARRIS, Evelyn “Eves”.
Peacefully passed away at her home, Stirling Heights LTCC, with her
family at her side on Monday, September 11, 2017, at the age of 97
years.
Survived by her devoted sister Jean Foreman(George) and her beloved
brother Dickie Johnally(Merle). Predeceased by her adopted son John
Dryden, her sisters Grace Moulton (Fitz), Daphne Parkin (Byron),
brothers Vincent Johnally (Ainee), George Johnally (Doscelyn), Horace
Johnally(Peggy) and by her parents Charles and Adeline Johnally.
She will be lovingly remembered by over 4 generations of more than 40
nieces and nephews who affectionately called her ‘Auntie Eves’.
Evelyn was born in Jamaica where she worked as a nursing assistant for
several years until she immigrated to Canada with her husband Clive
Harris. She resided in Cambridge for the last 35 years, where she
remained very close to her extended family. The most important
blessing in her life was her family whom she treasured.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. James Anglican Church, 520
Ellis Road, Cambridge on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11am.
Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery, 235 Cooper Street,
Cambridge.
In memory of Eves, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be
appreciated by the family.
