It is with great sadness that the family of Eveline Stevens
of Saint John, cherished wife of Harold Stevens announces her
unexpected passing, which occurred on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at her
home. Born on June 16, 1952 in Saint John, she was the
daughter of Cecile (Richard) Boudreau of Fredericton and the late
Arthur Boudreau.
Eveline devoted her life to caring for the needs of her
family and treasured the times spent with those she loved.
She will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother,
sister, aunt and friend. Eveline had a keen mind for
crosswords and Sudoko and also loved gardening and playing
Zelda. She enjoyed her time spent volunteering with the NB
Heart and Stroke Foundation and will be sadly missed.
Besides her husband and mother, Eveline is also survived by
her daughters, Shera Stevens (Scott) and Tracy Stevens (Adam) all of
Saint John; precious grandson, Dylan Stevens; brothers, Michael
(Diana), Norman (Rose), Dennis (Denise), Bernard (Yvonne) and Ronald
(Heather); sisters, Theresa, Paulette (James), Lorraine (Brian) and
Suzanne; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of
Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111
Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, April 3,
2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated from Sts. Joachim and Ann Parish, 135 Simpson Drive, Saint
John on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will
take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made the NB Heart and
Stroke Foundation.
