Griffith, Evangeline Maude-96, Surf Lodge Nursing Home, Lockeport, formerly of Sandy Point, passed away in Roseway Hospital on December 25, 2017. Born in Sandy Point she was a daughter of the late Harold and Mae (Nickerson) Goodick. Evangeline led a very quiet life and was totally devoted to her entire family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In her younger years she enjoyed sewing and knitting for her family. Playing cards was a weekly ritual. She loved animals and was always adopting strays. She is survived by son, David; daughters, Gloria Culley and Linda Morris; sister, Shirley (Murray) Holden; grandchildren, Lisa Rice, Ward Wright, Maryanne Morris, Sarah Griffith, David Griffith, Paul Griffith, Scott Griffith; 8 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ward; son, Paul, Bonavista, Colorado; brother, Douglas; sisters, Florence Sheaves and Margaret Rogers; grandson, Daniel Culley and nephews, Brian Goodick and Gary Rogers. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. As per Evangeline’s request, there will be no visitation or service at this time.
