Eliassen, Ethel G. – It is with great sadness the
family announces the passing of Ethel Grace Eliassen wife of the late
Audun Eliassen which occurred on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the
Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was an adopted
daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth Allen. She was employed with
Murray and Gregory, Sugar Refinery and Home Hardware as a cashier
until her retirement. She loved bingo and dancing. She is survived by
two sons: John (Jacqueline) of Gondola Point, Eric of Saint John,
adopted son: Bill (Sandra) Cannon of Halifax: grandchildren: William
(Christine), Christopher (Terri) and Erika (Tony); several great
grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides
her parents she was predeceased by son: William, grandson: Mark and
several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral
Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with
visiting on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 7:00
– 9:00 PM. The funeral liturgy will be held from
Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 12:00
Noon. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial
Gardens on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at 1:00 pm.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of
the donor’s choice.
