WALKER, Ethel Alice (nee Corlis)
April 24, 1918 – November 30, 3017
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, in her 100th year at St. Peter’s Residence at Chedoke, Hamilton Mountain. Predeceased by her husband “Mac” in 1970 and her son Fred in 2016. Survived by her shildren, Gord (Jackie), Nancy Miller (Roger), Roy (Darlene) and daughter-in-law Theresa. Also survived by her grandchildren, Ross Walker (Sue), Todd Walker, Tammi Kovacich (John), Katie Duxbury (Don), Steve Miller, Jeff Miller (Kathryn), Sheila Haylock (Rob), Scott Walker (Jen), as well as her ten great grandchildren. Ethel was a long time resident of Caledonia, ON, and a member of Grace United Church, where she made many friends over the year. She was a seamstress and a quilt maker. Her works won her many first prizes at the Caledonia Fall Fair. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff, nurses and doctor’s at St. Peter’s for their kindness and care for our mother and grandmother. The service will be held in the Miller Funeral Chapel, Caledonia, on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 1 p.m. with visitation beginning 2 hours prior to service at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations to the Grace United Church, Caledonia, would be appreciated.
