Esther, William, David and Robert Boyd
1937-2017
At their residence on April 11, 2017, Esther Elizabeth (Spinney) Boyd
and her three sons, William Hugh, David Bruce and Robert Brian. Born
in St. George NB on February 9, 1937, Esther was the daughter of the
late James Renforth and Grace Spinney. She was married to Clifton Boyd
and spent her life with him in the St. George area. Esther was
predeceased by her husband Clifton, brother Arthur Spinney,
sisters-in-law, Doris Maxwell and Alice Boyd and brother-in-law, Hazen
Boyd. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Billy was born on February 13, 1958, Davey on April 15, 1961 and
Robbie on October 8, 1964. They are survived by several cousins.
Esther and her sons resided in St. George for most of their lives.
Esther was a long-time member of the St. George Baptist Church and
enjoyed singing in the choir for many years. She devoted her life to
her family and the church.
Davey was well known in the community as a 40 year honorary member of
the St. George Fire Department and could often be found at the fire
station. He loved to walk, often seen walking around the town. Davey
was a member of the St. Marks Anglican Church.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 11:00
am at the St. George Rural Cemetery. On Saturday, April 15, 2017 a
memorial service will be held at the St. George Baptist Church
beginning at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the
St. George Fire Department, St. George Baptist Church of the St. Marks
Anglican Church.
Arrangements are in the care of the St. George Funeral Home, 26
Portage Street, St. George NB.
