BRIARD; ERNEST SYDNEY (Ret’d RCAF MWO, and retired manager of the CFB Credit Union – Ottawa)
On Monday, December 11, 2017, at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, peacefully in his sleep after a brief illness. Dearly loved husband of 65 years to Hendrika. Beloved father of Jane Ann Ziegler (Al), Susan Bloomfield (Paul), Ernie Briard (Susan), and Loretta Briard (Don Lecompte). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Michael Bloomfield (Emily), Scott Bloomfield (Vanessa), Dan Briard (Sophia), Jennie Depatie (Cedrick), Ashlea McGrath (Andrew), Stephanie Lecompte and Bradley Lecompte, and great grandchildren, Jayne, Oliver, Anna, Kate, Elizabeth, and Evelyn. Survived by his sister-in-law Carol McCullough and brother-in-law Terry McCullough and their families. Ernest will be fondly remembered for his keen interest in photography, gardening, and international travel. Family and friends are invited to visit at Knox United Church 25 Gibbard Avenue, Nepean on Saturday, December 16 from 10:00 am until the time of Memorial Service at 11:00, followed by a reception.
