1931-2017
Elwyn (Bud) Raymond Lounsbury, 85, of Petitcodiac
passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Moncton Hospital with his
family at his side.
Born in Dobsons Corner, he was a son of the late
Walter L. and Beatrice (Cole) Lounsbury. Bud was a retired
school bus driver, Petitcodiac arena manager and in his early years a
farmer. He was a member of the First North River Baptist
Church having had many positions including deacon, trustee and
cemetery chairman. He was also a member of the Petitcodiac
Kiwanis, Seniors Group and the Golf and Country Club.
He is survived and sadly missed by his wife of 58
years Irene (McMackin); son Allan (Leslie), Kinnear Settlement;
grandchildren Alison Lounsbury (Jesse), Kinnear Settlement and Cory
Lounsbury (Brooklyn), Moncton; brothers and sisters Stan (Jean),
Eleanor (Budd) Joyce, George (Joan), Donna (Roy) Gillies;
sisters-in-law Edna Lounsbury and Mary Trites; brother-in-law Owen
Gilmore and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by
sisters Helen Dow, Jessie Bleakney, Edna Graham, Marilyn Gilmore, and
Jenny Lounsbury; brothers Norval (Jack), Gary, Clinton, and infant
twin boys.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106
(372-4800) visiting will be Thursday, April 27 from 5 to 8 pm. The
funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel Friday, April 28 at 2
pm with Rev. Wayne Hagerman officiating. Interment at First
North River Baptist Cemetery.

Baptist Church or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the
family.
