Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander announce her passing at on Sunday December 17, 2017 at the age of 89 years, Mrs. Elizabeth Simms, formally of Hermitage. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 63 years, Reg Simms; son David Simms (Colette) of Nova Scotia; daughters: Nancy Loveless (Lloyd) of Seal Cove, Patsy Matthews (Peter) of Gander; grandchildren: Janice (Neil), Jackie (Todd), Jonathan (Tonya), Ryan (Julie), Susan, Russell; great grandchildren Anna, Sarah, Cassie, Claire, Nathan, Evan; sister Maude; sisters-in-law Kitty & Irene. She was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Ellen Roberts of Hermitage. Family will be receiving friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue, Gander on Wednesday December 20, 2017 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday December 21, 2017 from the St. Martins Anglican Cathedral at 3 p.m. officiated by Reverend Brian Candow with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donation’s in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to the St. Martins Anglican Cathedral.
