WARREN, Elizabeth Joyce
Elizabeth JOYCE Warren, born April 8th, 1933, in Hamilton Ontario, passed away December 1st, 2017, in Burlington Ontario. Daughter of Donald Alexander Warren and Gladys Warren (nee Preston)
Joyce attended Westdale High School. She graduated with an R.N. from Hamilton General Hospital in 1955. Joyce started her nursing career in Connecticut, California and Bermuda, ultimately becoming an industrial nurse for the Ford Motor Company. Joyce travelled extensively in Europe, Asia, UK and more recently to Africa. Joyce was a huge supporter of the visual and performing arts, volunteering at the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Art Gallery of Burlington. She was an avid collector of Canadian glass and a well know member of Glasfax. Joyce was also a committed volunteer at the Joseph Brant Hospital.
She was a loyal and faithful friend to many and will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Monica and Jim, Nancy, Jack, and Ginny, for their recent care and kindness.
Joyce is survived by her loving family, brother, Dr. Donald Preston Warren of Vancouver, and wife Elizabeth; niece Martha; nephew, Roger, and wife Cherie; great-nieces Penelope and Brooke; and great-nephews, Alexander and Tanner.
Funeral Service will be held on, Friday, December 15th, 2017, at 11 am, at the DODSWORTH & BROWN FUNERAL HOME-BURLINGTON CHAPEL (2241 New Street at Drury Lane 905-637-5233). Interment at Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully appreciated by the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation. On-line condolences may be made at www.dbburlington.ca
