Passed peacefully away in her home on Saturday, December 9, 2017, with family by her side, Elizabeth (Betty) O’Grady (nee Whyte) in her 88th year. Predeceased by her first husband Martin, husband Jerry, daughter Wileen Sheehan and her brothers Jack (Agnes), David (Marjorie) and Peter Whyte. Leaving to mourn her children – Peter (Sue) O’Grady, Winnie (Jerry) Carpenter, Stephen (Beth) O’Grady, Anne (Bill) King, Karen (Jim) Murray, Lynn O’Grady, Patricia (Baxter) Pope, Jerry (Jan) O’Grady and son-in-law Mike Sheehan. Also leaving to mourn her grandchildren Marty, Greg and Nick O’Grady, Cathleen (Nick) Begley, Laura and Julie King, John, Stephen, David, Mary and Adam Matchim, Alex (Crystal) Murray, Victoria O’Grady, Jeffrey (Marion) Pope, Jennifer (Neil) Stamp, Theresa O’Grady and 6 great grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn sisters-in-law Maureen Power and Louise O’Grady, and her Scottish family – sister Barbara (Alastair) Johnston, sister-in-law Margaret Whyte, and a large circle of nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place from Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Wednesday, December 13, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at Caul’s Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11:00 am. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Gordon Higgins, Dr. Erin Powell, Dr. Cheryl Hurley, Compassion Home Care and Community Health Palliative Care Team. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations to Eastern Health’s Palliative Care Unit.
