SLEEPER, ELIZABETH – Love, honour and respect. Elizabeth (Liz) Ann Sleeper (nee Plunkett) passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side in Port Hope on November 4th, 2017. Liz was predeceased by her husband, Buddy, daughter Kimberly, son Andy, grand-daughter Tallulah and sister, Joan. She is survived by daughters, Victoria Barron, Brenda Clark and Liza (Chris) VanderHoeven, her grand-children, Gemma Barron (Henry Ingham), Oliver (Sheena) Barron, Ben (Katie) Atkins, Brian (Amberlyn) Atkins, Jason Sleeper (Caitlyn Garcia), Cohen and Duncan VanderHoeven. She is the sister of Michael, Patricia, Margaret and Daniel. Born in Kingston on April 26th, 1940, Liz raised her family in Sarnia and together with Bud owned and operated T. Moore Mechanical Contractors Ltd. and Huron Valley Metal Masters. Liz proudly served as Brown Owl for many years at Grace United Church and worked at Lawley’s of London in the Sarnia Eaton Centre. In 1995, Liz retired to Oakville, where she owned and operated Art’s Fish and Chips where everyone enjoyed her fresh daily pies and carrot cake. Known for her sense of humour, dirty jokes, kindness and contagious smile, Liz was sure to make everyone’s day brighter. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia on Wednesday, November 8th between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 and 5:00 to 7:00 pm. A memorial service will be held at D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, November 9th at 12:00 noon followed by interment of ashes at Lakeview Cemetery. An Irish wake will follow at 3:00 pm at The Grind Café, 265 Front St. N, Sarnia. Everyone is welcome. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or Heart and Stroke. Memories or messages of condolence may be sent through www.djrobb.on.ca
