Eldon E. Rideout
1932-2017
Eldon Emerson Rideout of Rusagonis, formerly of Lower Brighton, passed
away on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers
Hospital in Fredericton. He was born November 27, 1932 and was the son
of the late Robert and Leah (Sewell) Rideout. Besides his parents, he
was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude; a son David and his wife, Line;
five brothers, Manson (Wilma), Edson (Ethel), Donald, Dwayne and
Hazen; brothers-in-law, Tommy MacDonald, Robert Canam.
Eldon is survived by his children, Hope (George) Parsons of Grafton,
NB, Lucie (Ross) MacDougall of Rusagonis, Michael (Etta) Rideout of
Saskatchewan, Alanda (Larry) Rideout-Drost of PEI; 13 grandchildren,
several great grandchildren; siblings, Shirley MacDonald, Audrey
(Cyril Sproul) Harrington, Marion Trecartin, Dorothy Canam, Mavis
(Weldon) Clark, Malcolm (Cathy) Rideout, Opal (Arlie) Boone, Angela
(Stephen) Laskey; numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Eldon’s wishing there will not be any visitation
or funeral service. Interment will take place in the Windsor Cemetery
at a later date. If so desired donations can be made to the
Alzheimer’s Society. Arrangements are in the care of Britton
