1938-2017
Peacefully and surrounded by her family at The Mount
Continuing Care Community on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, Mrs. Eileen
Trainor of Sherwood, aged 79 years. Loving and devoted wife of the
late Austin P.Trainor. The mother of Mary (Mark) Hanneman of
Wolfville, Nova Scotia., Patrick (Jenn) and Paul of Toronto, Ontario.
Loving grandma to Luke, Emma, Alexis, Ben, Sophie and Reese. She is
also survived by her sisters, Alberta (Carmen) Smith, Ann (Gerry)
Perry, Mae (Gary) Chapman and brothers Louis (Audrey) Murphy and
Emmett Murphy. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Mary (Mc
Aleer) Murphy her sister Noreen O’Hanley.
Eileen can be remembered for her devoted service to her
family, church and community. She spent many years volunteering with a
wide variety of community organizations from the local figure skating
club to the QEH Foundation.. She was a strong support of St Pius X
Parish, United Way, and the Telephone Pioneers.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home
until Friday afternoon, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for
funeral mass at 3:00 p.m.Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic
Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00
p.m.
If so desired, memorial contributions may
be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer
