Mrs. Eileen Mydland passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at the Red Deer Hospice on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the age of 78 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Gordon; children, Paulette (Kevin) Wilkins, Jane (Richard) Fraser, Steven (Karen) Mydland, Valerie (Neil) Rudyk, Rachel (Jeff) Roberts, and Jeffry (Brandy) Mydland; 23 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Rene Hallet of Kamloops, BC; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Slovakia; as well as many dear friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Catholic Church, 5509 – 50 Street, Rimbey AB on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., with the Reverend Father Les Drewicki, celebrant. Interment will take place at the Bentley Cemetery Memorial donations in memory of Eileen may be directed to the Red Deer Hospice, 99 Arnot Ave, Red Deer, AB T4R 3S6 or a charity of one’s choice.
