Obituary of Edward Ermel
EDWARD JOHN ERMEL
April 4, 1933 – December 17, 2017
Edward, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 17, 2017. He was predeceased by his mother Lena; father John; and sister Geraldine (Tootsie) Higgins. Ed leaves behind his wife Lois; daughter Karen and her husband Steve Novak; son Brian and his wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Danielle and Scott Stinson, Drew and Leanne Novak, Lindsay, and Kelsey Ermel; and great-granddaughter Kennedy Drew Stinson. Ed retired as director of training for the Regina fire department in 1988, after almost 35 years of service. With his love for travel, he and Lois enjoyed nearly 25 years wintering in Mesa, Arizona, where they made many lifelong friends. Those closest to Ed knew how strong and resilient he truly was. He lived with cancer for many years, taking a turn for the worse in the past few months, which has been a struggle not only for Ed, but for family and close friends. Come and Go Memorial Reception for family and friends will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to recount cherished memories and provide comfort to one another. Donations in memory of Ed may be made to Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Edward
