May 19, 1950 – July 30, 2017
Edward Wayne “Wieners” Edwards was born May 19, 1950 in Prince Albert, SK to Earl and Joyce Edwards. One of seven children, Wayne attended school in Prince Albert and as a young man started working as a switchman for CN Rail, a job that he worked at until his retirement. Wayne lived his life to the fullest, his way. His many close friends can talk for hours about Wayne and his fun -loving ways and stories. Wayne loved his lake life and all the close friends he had there and his winters in Yuma and Mexico. “Jerimiah” will be missed. Wayne leaves to mourn his sister Lynn (Bob Guest) of Edmonton; his sister Penny (Fred Mathiason) of Prince Albert; his sister Wendy (Dan McKinley) of Edmonton; a special brother-in-law Trevor Wessel; and many numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Earl and Joyce Edwards; his brother John Brian Edwards; his brother Larry Edwards and his sister Cheryl Wessel. As per Wayne’s request there will be no funeral service. There will be a Celebration of Life for family and friends at Sunnyside at a later date to be announced. The family would like to thank all of Wayne’s close friends that helped out and looked after Wayne as his health was deteriorating. He really loved you all. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306-922-4729).
