Obituary for Edna Jean Jackson (Pantling)
February 24, 1934 – November 21, 2017
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Edna Jackson (nee Pantling) on November 21, 2017 in Unionville, Ontario. Edna was born in Barton, England. She was the loving daughter of Albert and Kathleen Pantling. Our mom was cherished and loved by Bernard, her husband of 64 years, children Brad (Diane) and Stacey (Eric) and her brother Roy, all of whom survive her. She was also the loving and proud grandmother to Cheryl (Steve), Ryan (Artmiz), Paige, Mariah and Leo, and great grandmother to Tyson. She is also survived by Edward and Trudy Jackson, devoted brother-in-law and sister-in-law, who have always been an immense source of comfort and love. She will be missed greatly by family and friends alike. Our mom loved life, family and friends, music, dancing, traveling and spreading laughter. She was a kind and gentle soul who made friends easily and could always bring comfort and joy to those around her. While she will no longer be by our side, she created and left us all with lasting memories that we will cherish. Edna will forever be in the hearts of all of those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her. The family would like to express our deep appreciation for all the love and support given to our mom over the last few years by the angels at Amica Unionville and Living Assistance Services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sick Kids Hospital. Edna’s life will be celebrated at a small service in the chapel at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home at 166 Main Street North, Markham, Ontario on Sunday, December 10th at noon. We invite and welcome those that knew her to attend.
