Edna Faye Miller
1927-2017
MILLER: EDNA FAYE (1927-2017) Mrs. E. Faye Miller of North
Head, Grand Manan, NB passed away at the Grand Manan Hospital on
Wednesday, March 29, 2017 with her family by her side.
Faye cleaned at The Shorecrest, Marathon, Swallowtail Inn,
Whale Cove cottages, and many private summer homes when she began her
working career to support her young family. She strung and boned
herring for Wellington Lambert at Stanley’s Beach and worked
at D.K. Morse store for $1.75 an hour. Over the years she knit, sewed

Market until last year. Faye then happily moved to the Grand Manan
Nursing Home where she was enjoying the worry free
life.
Faye was the daughter of the late Gatchel and Iola (Green)
Lambert. She is survived by two daughters, Susan Lambert, of North
Head, Carol Miller (Don Gregin) of Charlo, NB, two sons H. Wayne
Miller (Gail) of North Head and Daniel Miller (Carol) of Woodwards
Cove, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three sisters
Dorothy Griffin, Marion Pierce, and Linda Slack, one brother Eugene
Lambert. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Harley
Miller, one brother John Lambert and one son in law Lee Lambert in
2013.
As Faye’s wishes there will be no visitation or
funeral service. There will be a family grave side service in the
spring at the North Head Community Cemetery. Donations can be made to
the Grand Manan Hospital Foundation, the Grand Manan Nursing Home
Foundation or the donor’s choice.
