Obituary
Edith Halliday – Passed peacefully away at Pleasant View Towers Long Term Care Facility on December 14, 2017 at the age of 77. Predeceased by her parents, Violet Fleming (Halliday) and John (Jack) Fleming; sister, Irene Charana and brother-in-law Antonio Charana, Portugal; and niece Denise Charland, New Hampshire. Leaving to mourn her brothers: Gerald Fleming (Jean deceased), Douglas Fleming (Theresa), Victor Fleming (Dorothy), Thomas Fleming (Jeanette), Bernard Fleming (Susan), Vancouver, William Fleming (Geraldine), Lawrence Fleming (Janice), Roy Fleming, and Frank Fleming; sisters: Alice Skiffington (Francis deceased), Violet Lacey (Richard), Florida and Ruth Charland (Michael deceased), New Hampshire; also numerous, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews. Also left to mourn are her extended family and friends at the former Hoyles-Escasoni Complex and Pleasant View Towers Long Term Health Care Facility. Our family would like to thank the staff of the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex and the Pleasant View Towers for providing Edith with genuine, loving care for the past 40 years she spent calling both complexes home. A deep appreciation is extended to all staff for their care and support. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, with visitation taking place on Sunday, December 17th, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Monday, December 18th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers greatly accepted, or donations in her memory may be made to the ALS Society or a charity of one’s choice.
