1932-2017
Edith Bashie LeBreton, 85, of Woodstock, passed away Sunday,
December 17, 2017 from the Carleton Manor. Born in Scotch Colony, NB
she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mame (McLean)
Davenport.
Edith is survived by her children Alma Demerchant (Mac) of
Ontario, Wanda O’Neil, (Ken) of Fredericton, Linda Lawrence
(Robert) of Woodstock, NB, Sharon Gaudet (Lucian) of
Knoxford, NB, Fred Stairs (Kim) of London, ON, Betty Cable (Joe) of
Chatham, NB, Louis Stairs (Calvin) of New Castle, NB and Rhoda Voutour
(Alex) of Chatham , NB, 17 grandchildren, 10
great-grandchildren, and 3 great, great
–grandchildren; sister of Margaret Wright, Letha
Reid, Alta Weeks, Inis Davenport, Floyd Davenport and
several nieces and nephews.
Beside her parents, Edith was predeceased by her first
husband James Stairs, second husband, Alex LeBreton, daughters, Sheila
Stairs, Laura Stairs, James Stairs, 4 sisters and 3
brothers.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 2-4
& 7-9 PM from The Carleton Funeral Home and
Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Rd, Jacksonville, NB.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM
from The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel with Murray Whitehouse
officiating.
Interment will be held at a later date in the Watson
Settlement Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the
Alzheimer’s Society or to any charity of the
donors’ choice would be appreciated by the family.
