Boeck, Edeltraud Katherina:
Passed away peacefully at home following a courageous battle with cancer.
The former Edeltraud Katherina Fath of Waterloo died Saturday July 22, 2017 surrounded by her caring and loving family.
Edeltraud was born in Germany, on February 9,1940. In 1957 she emigrated to her new home in Canada. She was the beloved wife of Herbert Boeck for 58 years and loving mother of Ralph of Kitchener. Much cherished Grandma to Ashley (Derek) Natasha and Leanna of Peterborough. Dear Great-Grandma to Cheyenne, Danica, Cori Lynn and Ellie.
She is also survived by her brother Rainer Ruf, for whom she lovingly cared for many years, dear cousins Frank Guthier (Inara), Rosemarie Witt (Gary) and many relatives in Germany and Canada.
Predeceased by her parents Ida Ruf (Fleischmann) and Franz Fath.
Edeltraud was a faithful, lifelong member of the New Apostolic Church, for which she loved arranging the flowers to decorate the altar for many years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Thank you to the doctors and nurses who provided such compassionate care during her illness.
Edeltraud’s family will receive relatives and friends from 6-9 pm on Monday, July, 24 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral service will be held at the New Apostolic Church (160 Margaret Ave, Kitchener) on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 7 pm. Shepherd Hankins officiating. A reception will follow the service.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to The New Apostolic Church Foreign Relief Fund or Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation- Ontario would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
