Earl D. Trenholm
1953-2017
It is with deep sadness that we announce
the passing of Earl Douglas Trenholm, age
63, of Port Elgin. Earl passed away peacefully at home on
Saturday, July 8, 2017.
Born in Sackville, NB, he was a son of
the late Guy and Louise (Murray) Trenholm.
Earl worked with CN for 35
years. He was a dedicated husband, father, brother and
loving grandfather. He was a member of the Trinity United
Church, Port Elgin. The last several years he volunteered
tirelessly at the Fernwood Cemetery. A man with a great
heart, he is forever remembered as the man who “Laughed so hard
he cried.” He was well loved by all who knew
him. Next to family, his passion was his hobby
farm.
He was predeceased by his first wife
Dorothy (Colwell) Trenholm.
He will be deeply missed by his loving
wife Nancy; sons, Jason (Tracy), Leduc, AB, Jeffrey (Melissa Jones),
Port Elgin, Paul (Jennifer Roach), Port Elgin, Timothy (Tanya), Port
Elgin, and Tyler (Janet MacDonald), Baie Verte; grandchildren, Tyson,
Jayne, Jacob, Halee, Gracie, Prestin, Ethan and Mason; siblings Judy
(Terry) Morrison, Port Elgin, Joanne Trenholm, Timber River, Buddy
(Kay), Riverview, and Sherry Trenholm, Port Elgin; several nieces and
nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Jones Funeral Home. Visiting hours will
take place at the Jones Funeral Centre, Port Elgin, 3 West Main
Street, (506-538-2241) on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to
8 pm. The funeral service will take place from the Jones
Funeral Centre, Port Elgin on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 2 pm, Wayne
Jarvis, DLM, officiating. Burial will follow in the Fernwood
Cemetery.
