Duff Nish (Okotoks) – May 9, 2017

Duff passed away in hospital, after a brief illness, at the age of 99 years. He is survived by his children, Shirley Masse (Burke), Marilyn Brown (Rick) and Jean Brown (Randy); seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Zelma, in 2010.
Duff was born and raised on a farm south of Kimball, Alberta. He and Zelma met at a dance, and were married in 1943. Duff joined the air force, and served over seas during world war two. After the war… he continued to farm, and did custom combining in the area.
In the mid 1950’s he began working for Shaw Construction, and he, Zelma, and the girls moved to Midnapore. Duff later worked at Shawnee Slopes Golf Course, until his retirement. He enjoyed, friends, fishing and camping with family.
After Zelma’s passing he continued to live at home till he was 98, then spent the last two years at Walden Heights Seniors Residence, where he was content, and received wonderful care.
A quiet family graveside service will be held at a later date.
